River

As the name of this route indicates, water is the central theme here. You will be surprised to notice the diversity of the Dutch river landscape. You will cycle along and cross several types of rivers, some navigable by recreational boats, some navigable by cargo ships. You will cycle in the neighbourhood of Amsterdam and Rotterdam, but still experience a rural atmosphere. Other highlights include the towns of Gouda and Dordrecht, the mills of Kinderdijk and the castle Loevestein.
