The tour starts along a small river in the direction of Amsterdam from where you will soon join the shores of the IJsselmeer (pronounciation I sell mere). Halfway you will take a 2 hour boat trip from Enkhuizen to Stavoren where you will arrive in the Frisian part of the country which has its own language, Frisian.
